Sign Language is a wonderful, easy and fun way to help boost communication in your daycare.  It can help facilitate early communication, assist with children who appear to be behind in development, and encourage a connection between the daycare providers and the children.

The full program for Little Signs includes approximately 90 signs in 6 themes.  During a full program these signs are integrated into books, fingerplays, and songs.  Overall, there is a LOT of information which is usually presented in 6 one hour sessions with time between each theme for practice and a chance to ask questions at the following session.

Training for daycares will most likely be very different.  Some of the themes don’t pertain to activities that are done at a daycare and therefore may not be necessary to include in the trainings.  Time may also be limited for training and scheduling may be difficult.  Therefore the program that is set up for your daycare can be very flexible.
