Little Signs

Once Christie decided that she wanted to formally teach sign language to families, she began to research whether or not a specific certification or degree was needed.  In discovering that there is no certification for teaching baby sign language, she began to make decision upon how to structure courses.  In researching other baby sign language courses, she came across Tiny Fingers, a baby sign language course in the Washington D.C. area.  This course was developed by Eileen Ladino, a sign language interpreter.  After reviewing the course, Christie purchased the course curriculum.  Little Signs follows the basic structure of that course curriculum and includes more signs, books and songs based upon the individual needs and requests of the families.

To date, Little Signs has touched families in Wisconsin Rapids, Port Edwards, Plainfield, and Stevens Point.  Please go to the picture page to take a peak at some of Little Signs’ little friends.
